Indonesia was the 19th customer, and by this time over 800 Vampire trainers were in service world-wide. 708, were shipped on 29 December 1955, and after assembly they were handed over on 20 February 1956 at Hussean Air Base, Bandung to form the Indonesian Air Force's first jet squadron. Vampire trainer No 63-5571, built to the latest with ejector seats, was on 8 November 1955 for Air Self Defence Force. It was standard and fitted delivered to Japan evaluation by the not adopted, but the aircraft was retained by the experimental squadron.
